Product Description
Ytterbium oxide, pure product is colorless powder, light brown or yellow when containing thulium oxide.
It is slightly hygroscopic and easily absorbs water and carbon dioxide from the air to become basic ytterbium carbonate. It is insoluble in water and cold acid, but soluble in hot dilute acid.
It is used to make special alloys, ceramic dielectrics, industrial luminous carbon rods, special glass and catalysts, etc.
Used in phosphors, optical glass additives and the electronics industry, mainly used in the manufacture of computer bubble materials, so that the bubble storage device has the characteristics of high speed, large capacity, small size and multi-function,used in the manufacture of special alloys, dielectric ceramics and special glass, etc.
